Feral Cat Program
In our feral cat program we trap spay and neuter and either return cats to the area they were trapped in or we relocate to areas that want the cats. we have several people and agricultural businesses that want these cats and we have a waiting list for those who want them. That way as we catch them we can call people on the list and let them know. on our lists we have how many cats are requested from the individual or business owner.
Once we trap the cats we do assess them to see who is actually feral and who is just scared and will calm down after a few days. The feral cats are then identified and relocation areas are contacted. The people who want the feral cats by a fee of 25 dollars to help cover our costs to spay or neuter, vaccinate and put flea and tick prevention on them. then after their surgery they are released at their new homes.
The cats that are then deemed as tame cats are not released. They are kept Spayed or neutered and after some socialization are adopted out into new indoor loving pet homes. This program helps save lives of countless animals by cutting down on animal over population, keeping what some would call pests safe by relocating, by controling rodent populations, and by saving tame cats and placing them in new loving responsible homes.
